A chapter ends, a new adventure begins.

After more than two and a half years spent in Egypt, an important page is turning. By the grace of Allah, this stay has been a source of immense scientific enrichment. Arriving in Egypt with barely knowledge of the alphabet, I leave almost Arabic-speaking. To be honest, Egypt is simple, but it is not easy. I met countless brothers from all origins there, all driven by the same quest: learning the Arabic language. Unfortunately, many had to give up along the way, whether due to lack of financial means, family problems, the desire to marry, or simply because they no longer felt able to continue. Everyone had their reasons.

With the brothers, we reflected a lot on this, and I tell you, whoever studies their religion does so only because Allah has made the path easy for them. It is a blessing not granted to everyone. If you are among those who study, thank your Lord and persevere on this path.

The curriculum at the Merkez lasts a year and a half, but it is almost impossible to complete it all at once, except for those to whom Allah has facilitated things. Between opportunities to go to Mecca during Ramadan (plane tickets at 90/100€), or setbacks requiring a quick return to France, one must know how to navigate unforeseen events.

In the end, after finishing a Merkez, believe me, your learning of the Arabic language is only just beginning. The Merkez gave you the tools and set you on the path, but now it is up to you to move forward. I call Allah to witness the benefits of Merkez Ibanah: you come out so enriched, and those who have done it can also testify.

It is with a heavy heart that the Egyptian adventure ends. I discovered everything here, and I almost felt at home. The dealings with Egyptians, which can seem complicated because of their behavior, were ultimately part of their charm. The cost of living, for someone coming from Europe, allowed you to indulge like never before in France. The local economy surely benefited.

Leaving Egypt was a natural transition, as mastering Arabic is the key to soaring towards in-depth learning of religious sciences.

It is also in Egypt that we founded Sahaba Store, and this adventure continues. The team we work with remains in place, and we hope to satisfy you even more in the months to come.
